About US

Welcome to The BME Healthcare Forum - an online forum set up as a response to the lack of online medical information specifically targeting the BME community in the United Kingdom. The Forum was established to provide relevant information about diseases relevant to the BME community (see our A-Z of diseases), provide information about how to access healthcare providers and to promote the work of many non-profit organisations and charities working in these areas. (see our useful links)

Our target audience primarily are the members of the ethnic minority community living in the United Kingdom.

The Forum shall access the cross-section of healthcare specialists particularly from the ethnic minority community who shall contribute their specialist skills on subjects and topics of health interest. (See our panel of specialists)

The Forum shall aim to create access to medical information, made available through online articles hosted on this website, through a monthly television programme hosted on an ethnic minority satellite channel (see video clips from previous shows) and through a dedicated online Question & Answer /medical blog section and by email correspondence.

The Forum’s blogging facility is our member’s own personal space where members (patients, healthcare providers and health professionals) and general subscribers from the online community may express their views and deliver expert opinions on an ongoing basis on topical medical issues.

The BME Health Forum is entirely non-profit and we are grateful to our team of volunteer researchers, editors and panel of specialists who contribute articles and make out the time to appear as guests on the TV show.

Thank you.
